The sections this builder includes, and why each one matters

This tool follows the standard modern resume structure: a header with contact info, an optional summary, work experience, education, and skills. The summary exists to give a hiring manager your positioning in two or three sentences before they read anything else most resumes get scanned for six to ten seconds on the first pass, so it needs to work fast. Experience entries are built around bullet points rather than paragraphs because bullets are easier to scan and easier to pack with specific, quantifiable results ("grew organic traffic by 60%") instead of vague responsibilities ("responsible for marketing"). Skills are listed as a tag list rather than a paragraph so a reader human or automated can pick out relevant keywords at a glance.

Writing bullet points that survive a quick scan

Each line under "Description" becomes its own bullet, so keep one idea per line rather than cramming several accomplishments into a single run-on sentence. Leading with a strong verb ("Led," "Reduced," "Built") and closing with a number wherever you can ("by 60%," "$200K budget," "team of 5") gives a reader something concrete to remember your entry by, instead of a generic description that could apply to almost anyone in the role.

A note on ATS (applicant tracking systems)

Many employers run resumes through applicant tracking software before a human ever sees them, and that software works best with a simple, linear structure the same header, section, and bullet-point layout this tool produces, rather than multi-column layouts, text boxes, or graphics that can confuse a parser and drop content entirely. Using the "Skills" field to include the exact keywords from a job posting (when genuinely true of your experience) also helps a resume clear automated keyword filters before reaching a person.

Turning your resume into a PDF

Click "Download / Print Resume" to open your browser's print dialog, then choose "Save as PDF" instead of a physical printer. That produces a clean, watermark-free PDF using standard print margins, ready to attach to job applications or upload to a job board's applicant portal.

FAQ

Is my information saved anywhere?
No this tool doesn't save your data between visits or send it to a server. Download your PDF before closing the tab, since refreshing the page clears everything you've entered.

Can I add more than one page?
Yes if your content is long, the print/PDF output will naturally flow onto a second page. For an entry-level resume, aim to fit everything on one page; two pages is generally acceptable once you have 8-10+ years of experience.

Will this resume pass through an applicant tracking system?
The single-column, standard-section layout this tool produces is friendlier to ATS parsing than a heavily designed resume with columns or graphics, but no tool can guarantee every ATS will parse it perfectly. Matching the keywords in the job posting within your skills and experience sections is the biggest factor you control.

How long should my summary be?
Two to three sentences is enough focus on your role, years of experience or key strength, and what kind of impact you deliver. A longer summary competes with the experience section for the reader's limited attention.

Should I list every job I've ever had?
Not necessarily most resumes cover the last 10-15 years of relevant experience. Older or unrelated roles can be summarized briefly or left off entirely if they don't support the job you're applying for.
