How this screen recorder works
Click "Start Recording" and your browser will ask you to choose a screen, window, or tab to share. Once you select one, recording begins immediately. Click "Stop Recording" when you're done, then preview and download the video all without installing any software.
What format does it download in?
Recordings download as WEBM, a widely supported video format that plays in all modern browsers and most video players and editors.

Does this record audio?
If your browser and the source you select support it, you can usually choose to share system or tab audio along with the video in the sharing prompt.
Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No everything is captured and processed locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why isn't this working on my phone?
Screen recording via the browser is a desktop-browser feature (Chrome, Edge, Firefox). Most mobile browsers don't support it.
