How this voice changer works
Record a short clip of your voice, then pick an effect. Each effect changes the pitch and speed of the playback together speeding it up for a higher "chipmunk" or "helium" sound, or slowing it down for a deeper "giant" voice. Switch effects any time to hear your recording transformed differently, then download the result.

Can I change the effect after downloading?
Yes switch the effect dropdown as many times as you like before downloading; each change re-processes your original recording.
Is my voice recording uploaded anywhere?
No recording and effects processing both happen locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing is sent to a server.
Getting a clearer recording
Record in a quiet room and keep the microphone the same distance from your mouth throughout the clip. A short test sentence makes it easier to compare effects. If the processed audio clips or sounds distorted, lower your speaking volume and record again. Pitch-and-speed effects change both the tone and duration; they do not isolate individual speakers, remove background noise, or recreate another persons voice.
Browser and download limitations
Microphone access requires a secure HTTPS page and explicit browser permission. The available input device and recording quality depend on your browser, operating system, and microphone. Play the downloaded WAV file before closing the page, because the original recording is not stored in an account and cannot be recovered from the site later.
